Irongate Integrates Mailshell's
Engine to Block Spam, Phishing
MADRID, SPAIN - February 26, 2007 - IronGate,
a leading Spanish manufacturer of broadband safety and integral
connectivity solutions directed at small businesses and
professionals, today announced its selection of Mailshell
Inc., the leading OEM provider of software engines that
block email spam and phishing, to provide protection for
its IronGate's Net Survibox 266 security appliances. Mailshell
has provided a customized version of its SDK Lite engine
for integration into IronGate's products, and the combined
solution will launch in the first trimester of 2007. More
than 6,000 companies, and 15 million consumers, already
rely on 'Powered by Mailshell' filters to block spam and
phishing.
The initial combined solution will be in IronGate's
Net Survibox 266, a complete security appliance for
SMBs. In addition to the new spam and phishing protection,
Net Survibox combines firewall, VPN, web filtering along
with a complete ADSL modem. By integrating Mailshell's
engine, IronGate will combine a fast, compact, flexible,
complete decision tree with an automatically self-tuning
intelligent engine that is updated every five minutes.
IronGate will now offer customers consistently accurate
results in recognizing image spam, phishing and other
emerging forms of email fraud.
