We chose Mailshell for its advanced email functionality and experience providing consumer email services," said Rob Hall, president and CEO of Momentous.ca and subsidiaries Namescout.com and Internic.ca. "We think that Mailshell's innovative set of features will attract significantly more orders than if we offered a standard email service."
In addition to Web-based email accounts with POP and IMAP access, the companies will add a premium email package for users who purchase the john.smith.name domain enabling users to create any five aliases for their domain such as family@john.smith.name or shopping@john.smith.name.
Premium features including encrypted email, message tracking that lets users know exactly what date and time their messages were opened, virus and email bug protection, and increased storage space for emails so that archived messages won't be lost or deleted are also available from Mailshell.
"There is an obvious fit between the dot-name domain and premium personalized email services," said Tonny Yu, president and CEO of Mailshell. "By bundling many premium email features into a turnkey package we're able to help companies like Momentous achieve higher transaction conversion rates and greater revenue per user than other email services."
