How do I uninstall Mailshell Anti-Spam Outlook?

You can uninstall Mailshell Anti-Spam Outlook by either running the "Uninstall Mailshell Anti-Spam" program in the Mailshell program folder or using the Microsoft Windows "Add/Remove Programs" utility located in the control panel. Outlook should not be running during uninstallation.

Can I uninstall Mailshell Anti-Spam Outlook by just deleting the Mailshell folder?

No. Deleting the Mailshell Folder will not remove the application cleanly and it is not recommended. Always use the "Add/Remove Programs" utility to remove the application from your system. This will ensure that Windows Registry information added by Mailshell Anti-Spam Outlook is properly removed.

What happens to Outlook Junk Senders List and Exceptions List after I uninstall Mailshell Anti-Spam Outlook?

Mailshell Anti-Spam Outlook adds the addresses which you block to the Outlook Junk Senders List and the addresses which you approve to the Outlook Exceptions List. After Mailshell Anti-Spam Outlook is uninstalled, Outlook will continue to block and allow the addresses which you have specified.

What header information does Mailshell Anti-Spam Outlook use to block or approve addresses?

Mailshell Anti-Spam Outlook only blocks or approves addresses listed in the "From:" header.

In what order is my email filtered?

Email filters are applied to your incoming mail in the following order: Block Senders, Approved Senders, Block Domains, Approve Domains, and Mailshell Anti-Spam rules. However, if you have Outlook rules, the order is unpredictable. They may or may not apply ahead of Mailshell Anti-Spam settings. If you find spam is moved by Outlook rules to another folder, you can use Scan Folder to process the unread messages in that folder.
