Spam Network Check
You can configure Mailshell Anti-Spam to check
message fingerprints against the Mailshell Anti-Spam database
of known spam. This feature is enabled by default.
To disable network checks, double-click on
the Mailshell Anti-Spam icon
in the system tray. On the Mailshell Anti-Spam popup, uncheck
"Enable Spam Network Check" in the General Options
section, then click the Apply button.
Rule Updates
Configure Mailshell Anti-Spam to automatically
check for updated spam rules. This feature is enabled by
default with Rule Update Frequency set to "Every hour".
To disable rule updates, double-click on the
Mailshell Anti-Spam icon
in the system tray. On the Mailshell Anti-Spam popup, uncheck
"Enable Rule Updates" in the General Options section,
then click the Apply button.
Notification of
New Upgrades
Enabling this feature will cause Mailshell
Anti-Spam to check for new releases of Mailshell Anti-Spam
and notify you. This feature is disabled by default.
To enable notification of new upgrades, double-click
on the Mailshell Anti-Spam icon
in the system tray. On the Mailshell Anti-Spam popup, check
"Notification of New Upgrades" in the General
Options section, then click the Apply button.
Proxy Server Support
If you access the web through an HTTP proxy
server, you will need to set the server and port so that
Mailshell Anti-Spam can connect to the Mailshell Network.
This feature is disabled by default.
To enable proxy server support and specify
your proxy server settings, click on the Mailshell Anti-Spam
icon
on the Outlook Express toolbar. On the Mailshell Anti-Spam
popup under the General Options section, check "Enable Proxy
Server Support", enter your proxy server and its port number,
and then click the Apply button.
